North Shore Animal League America’s Pet Health Centers, which consist of the Alex and Elisabeth Lewyt Veterinary Medical Center, Don and Karen LaRocca Pet Wellness Center, and the Elizabeth Freed Special Recovery Center, is a fully operational hospital equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to provide a Complete Circle of Care® to animals in need.

Dr. Tramposch is one of our Staff Veterinarians. She has been with us since 2021. Her favorite part of working at the Pet Health Centers is getting to work with the very experienced and knowledgeable veterinarians and staff to provide care to the recently rescued animals and those that have found their forever homes.

About this role
This position is a senior position primarily focused on the surgical needs of the feline population in our new feline rescue and adoption facility, Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center (BFF), and advanced canine surgeries in our AAHA accredited Alex and Elisabeth Lewyt Medical Center. The facility has dedicated examination rooms, medical treatment wards, as well as a feline surgical suite.

About you
Our ideal candidate is Board Certified with a primary interest in a balance of soft-tissue and orthopedic surgery. We would welcome an enthusiastic and team-focused veterinarian with a desire to provide compassionate care to our homeless rescued animals in a well-equipped hospital.
Requirements:
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
- Board certification in Surgery
- Licensure must be in good standing to practice in the state of New York
- Interest in feline shelter medicine required
