About us
We are a premier, AAHA-accredited, 24-hour emergency, referral, and primary care teaching hospital. Spanning three stories and 43,000 square feet, our state-of-the-art facility is one of the largest and most dynamic in the region. Our team consists of over 50 veterinarians, including a diverse array of specialists in fields such as Internal Medicine, Neurology, Cardiology, and Oncology. We foster a strong culture of education, supporting a large class of rotating and specialty interns as well as residents across multiple disciplines. Our facility is equipped with elite technology, including nine surgery suites, a 1.5 Tesla MRI, 128-slice CT, and a comprehensive Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation center. As part of a global veterinary family, we are committed to pushing the profession forward while delivering world-class medicine.
I brought my senior cat in who was having trouble breathing and was not eating. I was able to get an appointment fairly quick and once I was there they got me in fast. Dr. Otero were very thorough on what was going to happen and the steps they needed to take in order for her to get some relief. The process was done in a timely manner. Dr. Otero was amazing! He was very upfront, detailed and knowledgeable about everything as well as extremely calm and loving to my sick kitty. He called to check in on her the next day and went above and beyond for her. About this role
Your mission is to provide world-class critical care while serving as a collaborative leader and educator within our multi-disciplinary hospital. You will handle complex emergency cases and oversee the management of critically ill patients in a high-volume, tech-forward environment.
- Deliver the highest standard of emergency and critical care medicine.
- Mentor and teach a robust class of interns and residents, sharing your expertise to shape the future of the profession.
- Collaborate daily with a network of over 10 different specialty departments to ensure comprehensive patient outcomes.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic and surgical tools, including MRI, CT, and specialized medical procedure rooms.
- Build relationships of trust with both clients and fellow associates through empathetic communication.
About you
You are a dedicated expert and lifelong learner with a passion for practicing medicine at the highest level. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and find fulfillment in teaching and mentoring others.
- Qualifications: You hold a DVM degree (or equivalent) and are either Board Certified or Residency Trained in Emergency and Critical Care.
- Licensure: You are in good standing to practice or have the ability to obtain licensure in the required state.
- Mindset: You are a growth-oriented professional who values accountability and clinical excellence.
- Soft Skills: You are an empathetic partner capable of developing strong relationships with a diverse clientele and a large, multi-faceted medical team.
