About us
Located in the bustling mountain town of Delhi, New York, USA, Delhi Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time veterinarian to work at our mixed animal practice.
With five doctors and several support staff on hand, you can expect hands-on mentorship in a thriving and growing local practice. Teamwork, good communication, dependability, and a sense of humor are a must.
Flexible to tailor schedule based on areas of interest with a wide variety of small and large animal clients seen on a daily basis. Includes a four-day work week.
I feel Delhi Animal Hospital is a lifestyle animal hospital. About this role
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals and diagnose medical conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans for various animal health issues
- Prescribe medications and provide follow-up care for patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and disease prevention
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care
- Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed
About you
Fostering a sense of teamwork is a high priority for us. We need a candidate who is self-motivated not only in the work aspect but also wants to be part of a team where we have each other’s backs.
Veterinary medicine care is a super stressful profession, so it’s very important that our candidate values a good work-life balance. We are very much a work-hard, play-hard bunch!
A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent is required, a valid and good-standing license to practice veterinary medicine in New York State and a valid driver’s license is required.

We are located in upstate New York where the area has boomed with new and up-and-coming businesses! The area is truly progressive and has a fun atmosphere wherever you go. There are endless outdoor activities to keep you busy, from breweries and hiking to sports and shopping!
Located about 3 hours from NYC and only 1 hour from Albany airport, it is great for ease of travel when it’s vacation time.
