About this role

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans for small animals
• Administer vaccinations, parasite control, and preventive care to promote long-term pet health.
• Perform routine and emergency surgeries, such as spays, neuters, mass removals, and soft tissue procedures, adhering to high standards of safety and care. – Conduct dental cleanings, extractions, and oral health assessments to address dental disease, a common issue in small animals.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care in a clear, compassionate manner.
• Work closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff to ensure seamless clinic operations and high-quality patient care.
• Manage urgent cases during regular hours (no after-hours emergencies), triage and stabilize patients requiring immediate attention, coordinating with referral specialists when needed
• Maintain accurate medical records using practice management software, ensuring compliance with Washington State veterinary regulations. Stay current with continuing education (CE) requirements.
