About this role

You know the fundamentals: exams, surgery, and medical management. But this role is about more than just clinical practice. As a key member of our shelter medicine team, you will:

• Deliver medical care to shelter animals, from preventive to emergency
• Perform high-volume spay and neuter surgeries in a structured, supported setting
• Support public health and safety through population control and disease prevention
• Assist in cruelty and neglect investigations where needed
• Collaborate with technicians, animal care staff, and leadership to support best practices
• Contribute to outreach initiatives and low-cost community care programs

About you

You’re a veterinarian who finds meaning in helping animals that might not have anyone else. You’re collaborative, steady under pressure, and open to learning every day. You may not have shelter experience, and that’s okay. What matters most is that you bring empathy, clinical know-how, and a willingness to be part of something bigger.
