About us
We’re led by Dr. Scott Moffat, who has a passion for wellness care and preventive medicine. He’s created a practice culture where animals come first and relationships truly matter. Dr. Moffat has owned our practice since 1988, and he’s a 1985 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine with a Master of Science in Zoology from the University of Connecticut. Over nearly four decades, he’s built something special – a practice rooted in compassion, honesty, and exceptional veterinary care.
Our team is incredibly stable and supportive. Rosemary, our practice manager, and many of our team members have been with us for over twenty years, creating an environment where people genuinely care about each other and the work. Flexibility for personal needs isn’t just talked about here – it’s lived every day. We regularly partner with local colleges and universities for technician and pre-vet student internships, often retaining students for several years, creating opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.
This AAHA-accredited practice primarily serves dogs and cats, with the occasional pocket pet to keep things interesting. We take pride in being an accessible, trusted partner for pet owners throughout the Kittery community and surrounding areas. When clients have questions, they call. When they need guidance, we’re there. It’s veterinary medicine built on deep community relationships and genuine care.
I work at Kittery Animal Hospital because I like to help people and their pets, and the team here is just awesome. People form very special bonds with their furry family members. When I see this here it makes me happy to assist them in keeping their pets healthy and happy. Whether it be answering a question, performing a service, or booking an appointment with their favorite Vet, I enjoy helping people who love their pets – Donna F – Veterinary Technician
