About us
Circle B Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned, family owned and operated practice built around one simple goal: helping veterinarians enjoy being veterinarians again.
We’re not corporate. There are no quotas, no pressure to hit numbers, and no one telling you how to practice medicine just to protect a bottom line. We care about good medicine, taking care of people, and building a team that actually enjoys working together. Our doctors have autonomy, but they’re never alone. We collaborate, we talk through cases, and we support each other when things get busy or complicated.
We’re very much a “family vet” practice. Our clients stay with us for years, we know their pets, and we get to be part of the full picture. That’s something we protect.
We’re deeply involved in the Katy community we are part of, and not just a business in it. We sponsor local elementary schools, support little league teams, and show up for local events and charities.
We’re big on growth here, and we genuinely want to help you build on what excites you. If there’s a clinical area you’re passionate about, such as ultrasound, dermatology, advanced surgery, or even exotics, we’re all in on supporting it. We’ll invest in your CE, training, and the equipment needed to bring it into real practice here in the clinic. This isn’t a place where ideas get shut down. If it improves patient care and lights you up as a doctor, we’ll help you build it.
This place for animals is amazing! They have a good relationship with my girl Sadie and soon they will be seeing our baby Titan. Staff and Dr are just so nice and sweet. They answer all my questions and are very professional. Here they truly care for your animals, and it shows. I will always take my fur babies to Circle B! Thank you for your exceptional work you do everyday! – Corey Jacobs – Google Review
About this role
This is a general practice role with a strong mix of wellness, sick visits, urgent care, surgery, and dentistry. You will be able to work cases up thoroughly using advanced diagnostics (Imagyst, Ligasure, endoscopy, and more) and practice medicine the way you were trained, without feeling rushed or limited.
You will have autonomy in case management and clinical decision-making, with a strong, experienced team available for collaboration or additional support when needed.
We have invested heavily in advanced in-house diagnostics and equipment typically seen in referral settings. The goal is to support faster answers, more complete workups, and high-quality care in-house when appropriate, while maintaining strong referral relationships when specialty care is the best option for the patient.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing comprehensive exams and developing diagnostic and treatment plans
- Managing medical and urgent care cases from workup through resolution
- Communicating clearly and building trust with clients
- Performing routine soft tissue surgery and dentistry independently
- Utilizing advanced diagnostics (ultrasound, in-house lab, etc.) to support case workups
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records
- Collaborating with a highly trained support team (3 technicians per doctor)
Key skills and abilities:
- Strong clinical judgment and independent decision-making
- Confidence in surgery and dentistry
- Ability to manage a varied caseload, including same-day sick appointments
- Efficient but thorough case management approach
- Strong communication skills with clients and team members
About you
We are looking for a veterinarian who cares about medicine and wants to feel proud of the work they do each day. You’ll thrive here if:
- You value autonomy and take ownership of your cases, but you also appreciate collaboration and being part of a team that communicates and supports one another.
- You are confident in your clinical abilities or actively building them, and you are comfortable managing a busy, varied caseload. You do not need hand-holding, but you do value an environment where questions are welcome and growth is supported.
- You are looking for a place where you can build relationships with clients, develop your skills over time, and feel like your work matters beyond the exam room.
- Most importantly, you are looking for a long-term home where you can grow as a doctor and enjoy practicing veterinary medicine again.
