About this role

As an Emergency Veterinarian, you will manage a varied caseload across critical illness, trauma, walk-in emergencies and tertiary referrals, working day, swing or overnight shifts as part of our 24-hour service.

You will have experienced technicians working alongside you and access to colleagues across multiple specialty disciplines when cases require a broader clinical perspective. There are also opportunities to contribute to the development of others through our internship and residency programs.

For a veterinarian who enjoys the pace, variety and clinical decision-making of emergency medicine, this is an opportunity to practise within a large multidisciplinary hospital while continuing to develop your own skills and interests.

About you

You will suit our team if you:

• Enjoy the variety and pace of emergency medicine and can prioritise effectively in a high-volume environment
• Bring strong clinical judgement, analytical thinking, attention to detail and follow-through
• Are self-directed and committed to continuing professional learning
• Value working alongside veterinary technicians, emergency colleagues and specialty teams
• Have experience with Google Apps for Work or Cornerstone Practice Management software, which would be an advantage
• Hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree
• Hold a valid state veterinary licence
