About us
Greenboro West Animal Hospital is a busy, community-focused small animal practice in Ottawa, Ontario, providing compassionate, comprehensive care for dogs and cats.
Together with our sister clinic, Greenboro Veterinary Clinic, we offer the warmth and continuity of local veterinary care with the support of two connected, modern hospitals. Our approach is personal and relationship-led, with veterinarians who take time to listen, understand client concerns, and build trust with pets and their people.
Across both locations, our facilities support a broad range of general practice medicine, including wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and hospital care. Our hospitals are equipped with modern surgical suites, advanced dental equipment, digital X-ray, in-house laboratories, and dedicated medical wards for hospitalized patients.
You will be joining a team of 5 veterinarians, supported by 10 team members across RVTs, technicians, and client care. The team works closely together to support high-quality care, client education, and a positive experience for every patient.
Greenboro West Animal Hospital is part of VetStrategy, the leading veterinary provider in Canada, with an expansive network of clinics and hospitals coast-to-coast. That gives our team the benefit of local clinic identity, community connection, and day-to-day autonomy, supported by a wider organisation committed to professional development, collaboration, well-being, and world-class veterinary care delivered locally.
My puppy received excellent care. The staff are kind,, friendly and very professional. I sense the Team works very well together. They communicate effectively and answer all questions that I had. The clinic is extremely clean and well organized. I have no reservations about bringing my puppy to this clinic – Nancy M – Google Review

You will provide thoughtful, relationship-based small animal care across a varied GP caseload, supported by experienced DVMs, RVTs, technicians, and client care colleagues. The role offers a good mix of consults, preventative medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, routine surgery, and client education, with the support of a team that values communication, kindness, and practical collaboration.

The broader medical team includes clinicians with varied interests, including Dr. Justine Antunes, whose areas of focus include behaviour, surgery, neurology, and preventative medicine. Her background in companion animal behaviour and welfare brings a valuable perspective to patient handling, client education, and creating more positive veterinary visits for dogs and cats.
